Denying the Holidays

This year, I am vehemently denying the holidays. Being in sunny California and not working in a mall or retail environment has convinced me that it is still summer. I hate any reminder that Thanksgiving and Christmas are around the corner. I even change the channel if a Christmas commercial comes on TV! Today, as I was driving around in the balmy LA sunshine, I was thinking how torn I am. Honestly, I do not want to live in LA, but at the same time I am not looking forward to the drive home, the climate getting colder the further I drive. But then I think about winter coats, and fur hats, and darker makeup, and of course seeing all of you again, and it makes me happy. Everything is well here, school is getting harder. We had a really long week, late nights and Saturday, and we are all getting on each others nerves a little bit. Yesterday we learned how to cover (or "block") eyebrows to achieve a 20's or 30's look. It was great, so much fun. We all looked like strange little old ladies or aliens running around before we drew in new eyebrows, it was hilarious! We are all starting to really miss home, and sometimes we get all mopey about it. But I am still having a great time, the shopping is excellent, everyone should feel more positive about LA, it's really not bad!

Ultimate irony

SO,GET THIS: I am in San Diego. Tedward, on the other hand, is in Portland. Stealing my friends with his party time. I am only jealous a l'il bit. I am enjoying my time here. San Diego is a beautiful town, I went to Balboa Park and it was AWESOME. I can totally see why Ted would live here, it is great!
