Cutest Night Ever!
On Friday evening, the lovely Greta, Derek and I attended the event that is now known as "Cutest Night Ever" at the Doug Fir. There was a lineup of three bands playing: Sounds Like Fun, Norfolk & Western, and Heroes & villains. Of course, we had seen Heroes & villains before and we know they are the best, they have been getting all sorts of write ups in all the papers around here, I predict great things for them in the future. I had never seen the other two bands before. Sounds Like Fun were up first, and I was more than pleasantly surprised. Not only did these 3 boys have scads of pop talent, but they harmonize like pros, and you can understand every word they are saying. They have a new CD coming out in February, which they will promote by giving a free ice cream social at the Doug Fir. Everyone has to go! The second band of the night, Norfolk & Western, were also excellent. They played lots of unusual instruments and sounded so mellow and great. Two thumbs up. Then the Headliners: HEROES & VILLAINS. They also totally rocked the house. So many diverse talents in this group, excellent singers as well. By the end of the night, we were dying of cuteness and went home with a few crushes as well. All in all, I can't think of a more pleasant way to pass a Friday night. Love that Doug Fir!

Quiet a bit of fun if I do say so myself. It really inspired me to return.
